I Just Joined Facebook Dating!

Ok ok, I know what you’re thinking! “Oh no, meet someone in person!”, “what are you? Desperate?!”, “Jeeeez, don’t you have Bumble too?”

Ugh I get it! But hey, in my mind it’s all fun and games now and I’m just going with the flow. Everything is about Social Media and meeting people through this dang screen so might as well join in, right? I’m ready to meet as many people as possible! If the God’s want me to be a hoe, so be it! (JK, as much as I want to be hoe, I never like enough guy’s to actually have that much sex)

Anyways, I joined Facebook dating because I heard about it somewhere, I seriously don’t remember where, but as soon as I found out, I had to join just for the hell of it! I’ve had pretty much every other dating app, so why not try this one too I thought.

I decided to post about it on my Facebook Timeline. Wow! The amount of messages I received. Of course I ignored most and answered the few guy’s I might be interested in meeting/dating. So far so good! One in mind so far. Hehehe 😏

Ok, back to the new Facebook dating feature. In one day, I got over 400 likes by guy’s I’m not friends with on Facebook. I started going through them, liking or disliking them back (mostly disliking, eek sorry not sorry!)

In conclusion, this little experiment was fun and exciting. I’m glad I put myself out there and made it known that I’m looking to date. If you’re single, you should do the same. There’s no reason to be ashamed or embarrassed. Many people are going through the same thing. If anything, I feel like I’m motivating people to join in and just be open minded. Hopefully we can all have are chance in finding someone (or a couple people) to love. ❤

  1. They have FB dating now? I heard about it from friends but didn’t think the rumors were true. I wish you the best of luck with this experiment! ♥️

To be honest, I met my now husband online, on a site called OKCupid. To this day, I encourage people to try online dating at least once. Whether you meet someone the conventional way, or online, it doesn’t really matter. People are people. You’ll find creeps both online and offline, but you’ll also find great matches both online and offline. Conventional (parties, bars, clubs, churches) is not for everyone and it certainly wasn’t for me. Do what works for you. 👍
